Corpse Bride

Corpse Bride, created by Tim Burton is a stop motion animation musical film. Set in a fictional Victorian era village. The film is aimed at children aged 7+ and families. It is the story of a young man who accidental proposes to a dead bride. The purpose of the film is purely to entertain, shot using a battery canon EOS 1D Mark II. The entire set was made up of clay animation reported to have taken over 200 artist and crew members to make the set and characters. The attention to detail when looking at the both set and characters is amazing  all of the characters are 15 inches tall and are exact replicas with every detail being made life like including eyelashes and even freckles. each puppet has  several gears  so they are able to be controlled allowing them to smile move their jaw and obviously appear to be moving on screen. All of the set is hand crafted, and each scene has being manually moved each shot set up and shot by themselves. The overall production of the film is outstanding with a running time of 77 minutes. The film appeals to a very wide audience also sue to its creator Tim Burton who is already renowned for his work on Wallace and Gromit and The Night Mare Before Christmas thereof ore the film already appeals to an existing audience. The strength of the film is great and could not be faulted all of the movements made in the film appear natural and real, there are no jerky movements or scenes that could be pointed out. The manipulation to make it appear that the charcters are moving on their own has also being very well edited as every single little movement is well thought and produced.
